Chapter 01, In The Middle
of Coldness
“My name is Ohisa
Utsukushi, I'm sixteen years old, My motto is “Never Cry 'till your
heart break.” Said a white skin with long black hair girl in the
middle of a class. “Okay, that is the transfer student's
introduction. Please be gentle to her.” said a teacher to the
class. “Please, sit there” said the teacher again while pointing
at an empty chair. Then, Ohisa sat on the chair, opened a book and
started studying while the teacher explaining subjects.
When the break time bell
rang, all of the students start asking Ohisa questions about her.
Ohisa told them all about her, until she realized that a boy left the
class without communicating with anyone from the beginning of her
introduction, then she asked “Who is that boy?” to all the
students. “Believe this, you don't want to know him.”. “Why?”.
“Because he will never think that you exist.”. Ohisa got silent
and excused herself to the toilet with smile. When she got out from
the toilet, Ohisa met the boy from the class before and said “Hi,
my name's Ohisa. Nice to meet you. What's your name?”. The boy just
walked leaving Ohisa, “Hey, do you hear me?” Ohisa said.
Ohisa was so curious about
that boy, so she ask some friend. "Hey, can I know his name?"
she asked. "So, you really want to know? Okay, his name Yukito
Kuroikari.". "Oh, I see. Thank you." then Ohisa ran
off searching for the boy whose name is Yukito. When Ohisa had found
Yukito under an old big tree, once again she shouted "Hi, my
name's Ohisa. Nice to meet you, Yukito.". Then Yukito got near
Ohisa and said "Stay away from me, now BEGONE!". Ohisa
seemed surprise and she ran as far as she can, leaving Yukito behind
with tears out from her eyes. When go home bell rang, Ohisa went home
alone to a room in an apartment. She went to her room open a diary
book and start writing. "Dear diary, This is the last day of
Autumn and I felt so sad until my tears got out. I didn't understand
this boy whose name's Yukito Kuroikari. He shouted at me, commanded
me to stay away from him. When he said that, I feel like my heart was
attacked and broke easily by one sentence.".
The next day, snow started
to fall and buried all over the town. So thick, so white, and so
cold. Ohisa got up, take a bath and changed to her winter uniform.
She went to her school, in the way to her school she saw Yukito stood
beside the same tree as yesterday with a sad sight at the tree. Then,
Ohisa got close to Yukito and said "I'm sorry for yesterday, Am
I troubling you?". "Why?". He responded. "Huh?".
Ohisa questioned. "I said that you mustn't stay close to me, but
why do you still insist in getting near me?". Yukito said. "Why
must I stay away from you? I don't know your problem but, I think you
must consult your problem to your friend." Ohisa said. "I
don't have frien--.". "I'll be your friend then."
Ohisa cut Yukito's line. Yukito smiled and said "You're
interesting. You said your name is Ohisa, right? Thank you for being
so nice to me and thank you for wanting to be my friend.".
"You're welcome, Yukito." Ohisa smiled. Yukito walked away
leaving Ohisa behind with a little smile, Ohisa chased Yukito and
walked beside him.
When they arrived at the
class "GOOD MORNING all" Ohisa shouted. All of the students
shocked after seeing Ohisa walked with Yukito to the class. And
pulled Ohisa away from Yukito while Yukito walked to his chair. "What
are you doing, Ohisa? You shouldn't be close to him. He is cold, too
cold for you." Midori said. Midori as known as Midori Dainen is
Ohisa's first friend. "Why shouldn't I be close to him? He isn't
so bad". Ohisa responded. "Like I said, He is too cold.
Many girls have cried because of his cold attitude." Midori
said. "Don't worry, I am his friend now". "WHAT? You
can't be his friend he will broke your heart just like other girls.".
"Of course I can, just ask him. I am his friend.". Midori
and the other still don't believe Ohisa. When break time came, Ohisa
asked to Yukito if she can ate meal with him. Yukito said "No
problem.". Then, they ate their meal together. When studying
Ohisa sit next to Yukito and ask some questions that she didn't
understand to him. Yukito responded her well.
When they went home they
walked side by side. But, Yukito stopped and went to the old tree and
saw the tree covered with snow and started his sad sight. "You
can tell your problem to me now, we're friend right?" Ohisa
said. "One day, a little boy walked with her mother in their way
home. They saw an Old big tree, then the boy wanted to saw the tree
closer. Suddenly, a car came to the way where the boy and his mother
stepped beside the old tree and slammed them but before that, the
little boy's mother pushed the boy and let herself slammed by the car
at the tree. The car ran after that accident. The boy could only
cried after seeing his mother died at a horrible state. The ambulance
came not too long after the accident. And now that little boy has
only one dream 'live' until he dies." Yukito told his story.
"I'm sorry..." Ohisa said. "That's okay, now I fell
fresher after telling my story to you. Thank you for hearing it,
shall we go no--." Ohisa suddenly hugged Yukito and said "That's
okay, You'll be fine. You have me beside you.". Yukito giggles
and said "Thank You, Ohisa.". "That's the first time
you say my name.". "Really? Want me to say it again?".
"Yes, please." Ohisa responded. "Thank you so much,
Ohisa..." Yukito replied. They stood in the middle of a park
covered with white cold snow, they stood under the tree covered with
white cold snow. But they felt so warm although they stood in the
middle of coldness.
